The college is affiliated to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad and is recognized by Government of India and Medical Council of India, New Delhi. ELMC is offering comprehensive patient care with a humane touch on charitable basis for the benefit of the poor and needy. The college is on the list of WHO/ AVICENNA and IMED/FAIMER directories.
Era’s Lucknow Medical College & Hospital brings to the semi-urban and rural population in and around Lucknow the best medical facilities in the state at subsidized rates. The charity work done by the hospital benefits the poorest of the poor. Free admission, free medicine and free meals are provided to patients from underprivileged sections of society. Diagnostic services are also available free of cost for such patients. The registration fee for a patient is a token amount of Re. 1/- after which the patient can consult highly experienced doctors for a period of 15 days during which patient is also provided with medicines. Beds are provided to in-patients @ Rs. 5 /- per day. For the children of employees of ELMC&H an English medium school has been established within the campus. Books are provided free of cost. Uniform is provided at subsidized rates. A nominal fee of Rs. 50/- per month is charged which is further reduced to Rs. 10/- to charge as a token amount for Extremely needy students just to maintain their self respect. The EET through its tireless efforts aims at inculcating the traits of honesty, compassion, courage, persistence and responsibility among students, so as to enable them to become competent doctors on one hand, and sensitive and caring human beings on the other.

Era’s Lucknow Medical College offers BACHELOR OF MEDICINE AND BACHELOR OF SURGERY (M.B.B.S.). It is a comprehensive medical institute having excellent infrastructure & maintaining high Academic standards.
Affiliation & Recognition :
Affiliated to Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University, Faizabad.Recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI) and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India vide Notification No. U.12012/108/96-ME (P-II) dated 05.04.2006
Intake Capacity :
The intake capacity of the college for the first year M.B.B.S. Class is 150.
Eligibility :
Age – The candidate should have completed 17 year of age on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
Qualification – The candidate should have passed in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at 10+2 Intermediate, ICSE, CBSE or any equivalent examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together. For SC/ST/OBC category candidates, the required percentage in Physics, Chemistry & Biiology taken together is 40%.
Study Programme : The total duration of the course is 54 months (4 1/2 yrs.) The structure and content of the syllabus is based on guidelines laid down by the Medical Council of India. The course is divided in 9 semesters of 6 months each.

The Final Professional Examination is held after the completion of the 9th semester. It is followed by a one year “compulsory rotatory internship”. After successful completion of the internship the candidate is awarded the MBBS degree.
