Our Hospital
Separate rural and urban health training centres have been established
so as to impart field-practice training to medical students and helping
the needy people nearby and those in remote areas.
HMCH is a private, nonprofit, self financing medical institution,
pledged to the service of the community, caters to the health care needs
of the people in general and especially to the needy, underprivilaged,
suffering section of humanity in particular.
The hospital complex has been raised on an area of 42 acres ideally
located with salubrious surroundings. It is provided with the state of
the art infrastructure in terms of its block of buildings, which
includes cozy, comfortable and well-furnished departments laboratories;
classrooms for students separate quarters for staff and nurses, besides
equipment of latest technological quality.
The blood bank is well stocked and minted adhering to the international
standards. The labs for analysis and culture, X-ray equipment are the
state of the art and are operated by trained technicians.

In providing the personal touch and understanding the significance of
encouraging the patients with soothing words. Nursing staff follows the

Our College
The HMCH is founded with the single point aim of providing the best of
medical training in these parts of the country. At present the hospital
has 400 Teaching beds with state of the art operation theatres. Besides
there are 20 intensive care beds with 24hrs with high-tech trauma care
facility, serving a wide cross section of the community, belonging to
every segment of society. Free medical services are given to the poor
and needy patients. Separate rural and urban health training centers
have been established so as to impart field-practice training to medical
students and helping the needy people nearby and those in remote areas.
HMCH has the advantage of 600 teaching beds that offers practical
training to the students during their internship that makes learning
complete and comprehensive.
HMCH is synonymous with quality teaching and training. Each department
is well equipped and each member of the faculty, master in his/her
choose field of specialization.

teaching methods at HMCH are conventional and radical at the same time.
Classroom teaching, seminars, hands on experience, museum visits,
workshops, guest lectures; all form part of teaching at HMCH. Tastefully
equipped library along with Internet facility is the source of addition
information on the subject. While there is a dearth of qualified and
trained nurses allover the globe, HMCH have them in bountiful. It has
its own school of nursing which is the base of the placements.

Academic Qualification and Eligibility
Pass in +2 or appearing in 2012 examination of CHSE, Orissa or
equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology)
with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology
taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in
aggregate for SC/ST candidates. For candidates seeking admission through
JEE to Govt. and Private Colleges the candidate must be a permanent
resident/native of Odisha.
Group of Subjects Specified
English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology
MCI Norm
Candidates should have obtained the minimum of 50% of marks incase
(SC/ST/OBC- 40%) taking together physics, Chemistry & Biology and
pass in English in the qualifying examination.
AGE LIMIT
The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31, 2009. The upper age
shall be 25 years as on December 31, 2012. The upper age limit may be
relaxed by three years for SC/ST candidates.

Recognition and Affiliation
After due inspection, by both Govt of Odisha and Medical Council of
India the college and hospitals were granted permission by the medical
council of India in the year 2005. The M.C.I recognition continues under
Utkal university affiliation also.
M.B.B.S Course
The M.B.B.S. Degree of Hi-Tech Medical College under Utkal University
has been recognised by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi in the
year 2010.
Total strength for the udergraduate students for the college is 100.
P.G Course
The Post Graduate Degree of Hi-Tech Medical College under Utkal
University has been permitted by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi
in the year 2011.

Fees Details
Fees Details
The tuition fees per annum is set as per the fees fixed by the
Government of Orissa. At present the tuition fees per annum for Hi-Tech
Medical College & Hospital is Rs. 5,50,000/- w.e.f. academic session
2013-14 until further orders. (Notification)
The other fees to be paid at the time of admission are College Caution Money Deposit (one time – refundable), Examination fee, Sports & Cultural fee, Transport fee and fees for uniform and blazer.
If hostel is required, hostel fees and hostel caution money deposit are to be paid.
For the subsequent years the annual fees to be paid before the due dates notified failing which late fee will be applicable. The annual fees to be paid are the tuition fee, examination fee, Sports & Cultural fee, transport fee and hostel fee if applicable.

The annual hostel fees per annum include room rent, water &
electricity charges, food charges and maintenance charges. The following
types of accommodation are available in the hostels for both boys and
girls.
AC accommodation: Single / Double Sharing / Triple Sharing
Non-AC accommodation: Single / Double Sharing / Triple Sharing
The charges will be as prevailing at the time of admission as they are modified periodically.

Fees For Other Services
Examination Fees:
Annual Examination fees for all internal assessment examinations both
theory & practical and University Practical examinations: Rs 5000/-
per annum.
Sports & Cultural fees:
An amount of Rs. 3500/- per annum will be collected towards Sports and Cultural Fees.
Transport fees:
An amount of Rs 6000/- per annum will be collected towards Transportation Fees.

PAYMENT OF FEES:
Fees must be paid in full before completing the admission process either
in demand draft or by Banker’s cheque in favour of HMCH on the date of
registration for new admissions.
Students on HMCH rolls must pay all fees before commencement of the academic year. However, for those unable to pay the tuition fees upon registration in full, fees may be paid in installments (as below) after approval from the management: the first half is paid on the date of completing the registration and the second half by post-dated cheque due four months after the first payment.
Hostel fees must be paid in full prior to joining the hostel.

LATE FEES AND FINES:
Late payment fee shall invite a penalty of Rs. 50 per day per dues of
Rs.100000/- for a period of 30 days and any further delay will attract
further action & charges in addition.
Please note that a penalty of Rs 1000/- is to be imposed on returned cheques and the returned cheque will not be handed to the student unless the penalty is paid in cash.
The department heads in the College and the clinical teaching sites will mark the student who has failed to pay the fees in time as ‘absent’ until the arrears are cleared and the fee is paid in full.

REFUND OF FEES:
Students withdrawing from the programs after being admitted to HMCH on
having completed the registration process by paying the tuition fees
will not be refunded the fees amount paid by them under any
circumstances.
